WATCH: eThekwini Municipal worker drives through Galleria Mall

eThekwini Municipality has confirmed that it's begun an internal investigation, after video footage emerged, allegedly of one of it's officials driving a municipal vehicle into and through Galleria Mall, south of Durban. 

In the video that has since gone viral on social media, a municipal vehicle can be seen slowly driving past shops and people within the mall and exiting on the other side. The post on social media alleges that the driver was under the influence of alcohol.

In a statement, eThekwini Municipality confirmed that the driver was arrested by police at the mall after the incident. It says should the internal investigation reveal possible misconduct, disciplinary steps will be taken.
