WATCH: Ellis Park disaster remembered, 15 years on

In 2001 today, Johannesburg was hit by the biggest disaster known to SA sporting history.
43 people, including two children, died while 158 were hurt in a stampede at Ellis Park Stadium during the Soweto Derby.
Tragedy stuck after two goals were scored in the Kaizer Chiefs versus Orlando Pirates match and chaos ensued.
It is alleged 20 000 more tickets were sold for a venue that could only hold 60 000 spectators.
While in 1991, around 40 sports fans died at the Oppenheimer Stadium in Orkney, in the North West following a stampede.
