WATCH: Early national conference won't fix problems: ANC

The ANC in KZN believes convening an early national conference will not be beneficial for the party.
The ANC Youth League has been calling for an early conference to find solutions to the current problems faced by the party - following a below par performance in last month's local government elections.
Briefing the media in Durban a short while ago following their Lekgotla - the ANC's Super Zuma said an early conference would deny members and supporters the opportunity to reflect and make thinks right.
"While we know and accept some of our own mistakes, which have led to the decline of our movement's support in certain wards; but it is critically important that we also afford all supporters of the ANC an opportunity to speak direct to their own organisation," he said.

Last week, a faction of the ANC took part in an Occupy Luthuli House protest at the party's national headquarters in Johannesburg, handing over a memorandum to the secretary general - in which they called for the removal of President Jacob Zuma and the convening of a consultative conference.
