WATCH: Durban CBD shuts down following protest action

Protesters clashed with police in the Durban CBD this morning.
uMkhonto weSizwe Military Veterans, truck drivers, Durban Solid Waste employees along with workers from the City's Expanded Public Works Programme began protesting on Bayhead Road at 5am before moving to Durban CBD.
MKvets are calling for the closure of businesses owned by foreign nationals, who they claim have taken jobs meant for South Africans.
There has been ongoing protests of this nature in the city, with protesters causing similar disruptions earlier this month.

The municipal workers say they want permanent jobs, as some have been employed as casual employees for over five years.
Roads within the Durban CBD have been closed as over 300 protesters march through the city.
Armed with glass bottles and stones, protesters clashed with the police who fired stun grenades and rubber bullets to disperse the crowd.
It led to businesses along the busy, Dr. Pixley Kaseme Street to shut their doors.
The groups gathered as early as 5am at Bayhead Road before they were dispersed by Metro Police.
They then began walking towards the city, they are now gathered in South Beach, with police closely monitoring the situation.
