If you're one of the thousands of motorists waiting to receive your new driver's licence, you can finally breathe a sigh of relief.
The machine that prints the cards is working again.
It was sent to Germany for repairs after it broke down in November last year.
Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula's happily displayed the first batch of newly printed licences in a video on Twitter.
He paid a visit to the entity, the Driving Licence Card Account, which is responsible for producing the country's driving licence cards.
"The machine that produces your driver's licenses is not a small printer like it has been portrayed. I am just giving you a glimpse. We are back in operation. We rolling, we are doing cards. Thank you very much to the staff at DLCA,” Mabalula said.
Good morning SA, yesterday I visited the Staff at the DLCA and spent the afternoon with them.
