The league planned a march to coincide with the country-wide People's March - calling for Absa to 'pay back the money'

The group, with around 2000 supporters, seems to have gone off course from their march to ABSA and are now headed to North Beach where the DA-led march ended.

Police have had to use stun grenades to disperse the crowds where participants of the DA march came under attack.

They were then addressed by their leadership, re-affirming their mandate including a call for radical economic transformation.

Meanwhile, supporters of the Democratic Alliance march from the Old Circus Site in Durban, along the promenade, and ended proceedings at the amphitheatre where they were addressed by provincial party leadership.
