WATCH: Bystanders loot cash-in-transit vehicle after robbery

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounded a cash-in-transit heist in Rustenburg, North West - after video footage was shared on social media.

The Intelligence Bureau shared footage on their Facebook page showing community members and motorists looting a cash-in-transit vehicle.
North West police spokesperson, Colonel Sabata Mokgwabone says a number of suspects earlier bombed the vehicle using explosives.

The incident took place on Monday on the R510, and the video was handed over to the police.
An undisclosed amount of money was taken and police are investigating.
