Updated | By Tsakane Mhlongo
An Umlazi ward councillor says a team from eThekwini's disaster management unit arrived in F-Section on Tuesday to assess the damage caused by a burst water pipe.

A video of the pipe burst shows a large white spray of water metres high.
On the ground, muddy water is seen cascading down to other properties below.
Ward 79 councillor Khumbulani Cele says at least seven homes have been affected, with three suffering significant damage.

He says he received a call about the burst pipe on Monday at around midday.
"uMngeni-uThukela Water had to stop the flow of the water. We also asked the neighbours to help take in all these families because water soaked everything, including food and clothes. The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Human Settlements also promised a visit on Friday."
Cele says the municipality's water department has blamed vandalism for the incident.
