WATCH: Blaze rips through Springfield factory

A large factory caught on fire in Durban's Springfield area on Thursday.

ALS Paramedics' spokesperson Garrith Jamieson says emergency services arrived on the premises on Peter Road to find employees trying to put out the flames with hose pipes.

Jamieson says no injuries have so far been reported.
"The Durban Fire Department arrived quickly after paramedics and are trying to contain this fire which is well alight.
"Black billowing smoke which can be seen kilometres away as paramedics are trying to fight this fire. Currently on scene, we have approximately five to six fire attenders as well as medical personnel who are on standby."
