WATCH: Bakkie burns out on old North Coast Road

Emergency services are on the scene of a vehicle fire in the Durban North area.
Marshall Security's Kyle van Reenen says the bakkie burst into flames on Chris Hani Road, that is the old North Coast Road, north of the city.
Van Reenen says traffic in the area has been severely affected.
He says the bakkie was found abandoned on the city-bound lane between Malacca and Victor roads. It is unknown if anyone was hurt.
Van Reenen says eThekwini firefighters were called to extinguish the blaze.

It is unclear at this stage what caused the vehicle to burst into flames.

The fire has since been extinguished.
