Updated | By Andrew Robertson
The eThekwini Municipality has confirmed lengthy water cuts this coming weekend.

Residents living in the Pinetown CBD, Ashley, Caversham Glen and Nazareth areas are warned that their supply will be shut.
The Municipality says the water cuts will be in effect from Saturday at 6pm to Sunday at 10am.
The City says two tie-ins have to be carried out in the Pinetown CBD relating to the road widening for the Go! Durban project.

These tie-ins are located on the corner of Josiah Gumede and Chariton Drive and Moodie Street and Dales Avenue.
Both tie-ins will be carried out simultaneously.
"The existing 450mmØ Asbestos Cement pipe will be decommissioned, and the newly laid 500mm steel main will then be tied in into the supply trunk main from Mt Moriah reservoir," a statement read.
It says to complete the project it will have to shut the Mt Moriah reservoir completely.
During the shutdown, the following areas will have no water supply:
- Pinetown CBD
- Ashely
- Caversham Glen
- Nazareth
The following areas will experience low pressure:
- Mariannridge
- Parts of Tshelimnyama (White City only)

- St Marys Hospital
All queries regarding water supply must be referred to the municipality's call centre on the following numbers;
