Warning for motorists as Higginson Highway hit by protests
Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
KwaZulu-Natal police are urging motorists heading towards Higginson Highway in Chatsworth, south of Durban to be extra cautious.
Protest action flared up there earlier.
Officers says there appears to be a stand-off between the Kwa-Santi and Chatsworth taxi associations, with the groups allegedly fighting over pick-up routes.
The police's Thembeka Mbhele says a number of routes have been blocked to motorists.
