Police have arrested a man wanted in connection with a fatal shooting in the Warwick Junction precinct at the weekend.

Police were called to the Durban CBD this morning after the 25-year-old suspect was allegedly assaulted by community members.
"This morning, at Warwick Avenue, near the bus terminals, two men were playing pool and having drinks when the suspects came. The suspect drew a firearm and fired shots but no one sustained injuries," police spokesperson, Nqobile Gwala says.
Gwala says a firearm was also confiscated at the scene.
"Preliminary investigations at the scene reveal that the suspect was also wanted for the murder that took place on 20 January where a 34-year-old man was allegedly shot and killed at Julius Nyerere Street," she says.
