Vryheid lawyer allegedly faked his own death
A Vryheid lawyer and his fiance are due in court again soon on charges of fraud after the lawyer allegedly faked his own death.
The 27 and 34-year-old suspects were arrested recently while allegedly heading to the King Shaka International Airport.
SAPS spokesperson Nqobile Gwala says the couple appeared in court on Friday.
"A case of fraud has been opened for investigation after an incident took place on the 28th of October where the two suspects allegedly submitted fraudulent claims to an insurance company," she said.
