Some students at the University of KwaZulu-Natal say it is unclear who they will be voting for during the SRC elections which is underway. 


The students say they rather wait out the voting process until the last day - which is tomorrow - before being certain about their vote.  


Speaking to Newswatch, students from the Westville campus says it is a difficult choice especially with a new contender on the ballet - the Citizens South Africa. 


The organisation's Phumlani Zuma says they're not affiliated to any political party and they want to effect change at UKZN.

"We have been active on Fees Must Fall. We are active citizens so whatever that is positive and is going to benefit the lives of students and citizens in South Africa - we are at the forefront of that," he said.  


Meanwhile, Sasco's Nash Khumalo says he is confident that they will emerge victorious despite concerns about the new party.


"We don't even know where they are coming from but there is a problem that we are having. Some of our comrades that we were with in the struggle have joined Citizens SA," he said. 


Howard College elections will also see newcomers, the Black First Land First Student Movement taking part.


Yesterday, the SRC's Nhlakanipho Ndlovu said campaigning had gone well in PMB.
