Virginia Airshow returns after 9-year hiatus

An aviation enthusiast says the upcoming Virginia Airshow in Durban North next month will help revive the industry.
Stunt pilots from around the country are
gearing up for the aerobatic showcase at Virginia Airport.
The 58th edition of the show is making a return after a nine-year break.
Scully Levin, the team leader of Puma Energy Flying Lions, says he has not missed a Virginia Airshow since his first performance in 1981.
"I've done all sorts of things in my life, I really have. But nothing compares with the thrill of flying low-level aerobatics, in other words, demonstrating and performing for the public in a high-performance aeroplane.”
The pilot, who has been flying planes for over 25 years, says he is excited to be participating in three displays in this year's show.
"We love the fact that you can present the show so nicely in front of the people, but most of all, it's all about inspiring youngsters to want to fly one day."
