Verulam serial rapist handed 10 life terms

A serial rapist who terrorised women and children in the northern parts of Durban has been handed 10 life terms.
Amos Ngobeni was sentenced in the Durban High Court today.
He was earlier this week found guilty of 19 counts of rape - said to have been committed between 2011 and 2016 in areas including Inanda, Phoenix and Verulam.
The 30-year-old was also convicted of kidnapping, robbery and housebreaking with intent to rape.
The high court has also sentenced him to a further 235 years imprisonment.
