Varsity policies 'will have to be revisited'
Updated | By Mantsadi Sepheka
A political analyst believes the protests against fee hikes at some varsities could spread to more campuses.

Student protests over fee hikes have seen various institutions suspend classes.
The unrest began at the University of the Witwatersrand before spreading to Fort Hare, Rhodes and University of Cape Town.
Analyst Cheryl Africa says students are frustrated and want policies to change.
She says protests will force stakeholders into difficult but necessary discussions over policies.
"Policies and legislation can't be changed overnight. It will certainly be forced on to the agenda now and I think the High Education Ministry will have to act quite rapidly now in the short-term but then looking at the policy issues in the medium and longer term as well," she said.
Africa says protests are cutting across political lines.
"The impact depends on whether students and youth movements organise themselves as a cohort in the run up to the 2016 elections," she said.
Rhodes, Wits and UCT have all suspended classes for today.
