KwaZulu-Natal will begin its rollout of the police coronavirus vaccination programme on Thursday.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) officially launched the national campaign in Gauteng on Monday.
Officials say so far, over two thousand officers and support personnel have been vaccinated at both the Soweto and Tshwane vaccination sites.

National police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe says they are setting up 108 sites across the country.
She says eight provinces will start administering jabs on Thursday, while the Gauteng SAPS’s drive will take off on Friday.
"Vaccinating our members does not mean we should stop adhering to the non-pharmaceutical health and safety protocols. The Service will continue to ensure that all health and safety protocols at all service points remain in place and are adhered to by members.
"The SAPS in consultation with the Department of Health would like to bring it to the attention of our members that there is an exclusion criteria for vaccination, this means that there are those who will not qualify to be vaccinated.

"The following members will be excluded: Anyone who has contracted Covid-19 in the last 30 days. Any person who has received a flu vaccine within 14 days. Any member who has been vaccinated prior to SAPS Vaccination rollout program commencing."
