uThukela faces water shortage as infrastructure undergoes repairs
Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
Engineers have been deployed to the uThukela District in northern KZN to replace water infrastructure that was sabotaged over the weekend.

The Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs says five water stations have been destroyed, resulting in water shortages for parts of the Alfred Duma Municipality.
Wards 15, 16, 17 and 18 are affected.
COGTA MEC, Nomusa Dube-Ncube says the damage will set them back several million rand.
"It's not going to take a day or two to replace that infrastructure particularly the ones that was burned down. It's going to take a while for water to get back to people because as soon as the water runs out - there won't be any electricity to pump the water into the dam so that it can be pumped back to the communities," Dube-Ncube said.
