uThukela faces water crisis
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
More areas in KwaZulu-Natal are declaring a crisis because of drought.

UThukela District Municipality officials say several of their municipalities including Indaka, Ladysmith and Ukhahlamba have run out of water at their major sources.
District Mayor Dudu Mazibuko says production boreholes and some rivers have run completely dry, with water tankers providing water for severely affected areas.
Mazibuko has urged everyone to play their part in conserving water as no one knows with certainty when the good rains will come.
"If we had our own way, we'd make it rain but up until we receive rain we are asking people that they must save water. Even if you still have a running tap make sure that you save water," she said.
