Updated | By Noxolo Miya
uShaka Marine World employees will embark on a strike from Monday.

It's after negotiations over salary increases reached a deadlock.
Over the past few months, eThekwini Municipality and uShaka Marine World management have been in talks with the union SAMU which is representing workers.
uShaka Marine's CEO, Ndabo Khoza, says when the parties could not reach an agreement, the matter was taken to the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation, and Arbitration for Intervention.

Khoza says despite efforts, an agreement could still not be reached.
He says the union has informed them that employees plan to strike as well as picket outside the park premises.
"The entity will do its best to limit any inconvenience caused by the industrial action.
"We will keep the stakeholders informed on every development."
