US couple celebrates 75th anniversary
An American couple has reached their 75th wedding anniversary.
Centenarians, Walter and Lisette Kimmel celebrated their 75 years of marriage this week as a retirement home in Baltimore, US.
The Kimmels met at a church - Walter sang in the choir while Lisette played the organ. They were 22 and married on August 8, 1940.
Walter worked at a gas and electricity supplier and Lisette was a secretary. The pair have two sons, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
According to reports the party began at 2pm - the exact time they got married.
