Search for remaining suspect in Shallcross fatal shooting

Police are searching for a third suspect after a child was shot and killed in what appears to have been a hijacking in Shallcross, near Chatsworth south of Durban.
9-year-old Sardia Sukraj was shot in the stomach when her father was hijacked outside their home in Himalaya Drive.
She was rushed to hospital where she later died.
Police spokesperson, Nqobile Gwala says one suspect was killed during the incident, while another was arrested.

"The victim was at their family's home when he was accosted by three suspects who then took his vehicle. There was a shooting and the suspect sped off with a 9-year-old girl. The suspect then collided with a truck," Gwala said.
