Updated | By Noxolo Miya
The
University of Zululand says it’s ordered an investigation into a notice
offering prospective students a guaranteed admission programme for 2024.
The institution says it’s aware of the fake notice circulating on social media a week ago.
The message includes the varsity’s logo.
It claims that UniZulu’s offering an exclusive programme and urges applicants to secure their spot by booking via WhatsApp or email.
The university's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Xoliswa Mtose, has warned people not to fall for it.
Mtose says those responsible for the notice will be charged.
"Management hereby unequivocally clarifies that this notice is false. The university strongly discredits and rejects its authenticity. The intention behind the circulation of this notice is to disrupt the registration process, causing confusion, chaos and potential mischief."
