Unions reject Eskoms latest salary increase offer

The three unions negotiating on behalf of Eskom employees have rejected the latest salary increase offer of 5 percent from the utility.
The NUM, NUMSA and Solidarity have released a statement following yesterday's talks with management through the Central Bargaining Forum.
Workers are asking for a 9 percent wage hike for this year, an 8.6 percent increase for next year and an 8.5 percent pay hike for 2020.
Eskom's revised it's zero percent offer, saying it will give workers 5 percent for this year with inflation and increases lower than 1 percent for the next two years.
