Union wants govt to focus on hygiene at disadvantaged schools

The Educators Union of South Africa says government needs to shift its focus and attention towards disadvantaged schools.
COVID-19 compliant schools across the country reopened this Monday.
Scelo Bhengu, president of EUSA says despite being COVID-19 ready there are schools that are desperate for clean water or working ablutions.

"It is a serious concern when you consider that a high level of hygiene is counted amongst the important ways of fighting with the coronavirus," he added.
"95% of the schools, our kids are not supposed to be near or in these schools as they pose a serious threat."
