Union stands by SAA pilots facing disciplinary action
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Trade union, Solidarity says it will try and assist the South African Airways pilots who it claims have been threatened with disciplinary action after tabling a motion of no confidence in the national carrier's chairperson, Dudu Myeni.

Solidarity says about 2 000 of its members are in the aviation sector, some of whom are employed by SAA.
The union's Johan Botha says they're concerned over the pilots' well-being.
"What is concerning at the moment is the fact that we've been made aware that they're now being threatened with disciplinary action and as Solidarity, we find this very disturbing and we'll do everything in our power to protect these pilots as far as possible," he said.
The national carrier said last week it was considering taking legal action against the pilots, saying they brought the airline into disrepute.
