Underberg community shocked by brutal killing of elderly resident

A ward councillor says the Underberg community has been left in shock following the murder of an elderly woman in the area.
Neighbours discovered Mayvis Molefe's body in her home in the Stepmore Village on Sunday.
The 62-year-old had been stabbed multiple times.

No arrests have been made.
Sikhumbuzo Mlibeni is the Ward 01 councillor in the Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma Local Municipality.
He says Molefe was an active member of the community.
"Ugogo [granny] was staying alone, so the community members noticed that it's been a few days without seeing ugogo and there was supposed to be a church meeting and ugogo didn't pitch up.

"So the community decided to monitor the situation and they had to break into the house and they found her lying down, unfortunatley she was no more."
