Death toll from Bloemfontein bus crash climbs to 8
The death toll from Thursday's bus accident outside Bloemfontein has risen to eight.
Authorities say a truck driver overtook a bus on the N8.
He then noticed an oncoming vehicle and tried to swerve out of its way.
Free State Transport MEC William Bulwane says the eighth person died in hospital.
"It is a very bad accident and the road is very clear and is in good condition.
"We don't know what might have happened that is why we said to the police they must not leave any stone unturned."
