MEC for Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Nomusa Dube-Ncube and her Community Safety counterpart, Mxolisi Kaunda visited the Ibisi police station yesterday.
Dube-Ncube’s told Newswatch that fear among administrators, councillors and the community at large is destabilising local governance in the region.
“There is a special deployment to the area. The team is working on priority crimes in the Umzimkhulu area. They are, of course, beefing up that team to ensure that it intensifies its work, especially police visibility,” she said.
