Pupils from schools in Durban have been getting an education of a legal kind today.

Hundreds of learners from various schools have gathered at the Umlazi Comtech High School for a National Child Protection Week programme by the Justice Ministry.
The National Prosecuting Authority's Advocate Roshiela Benimadhoo has told them cyber-bullying and sexting have far-reaching psychological and legal consequences.
"You can also be charged for criminal defamation because if you take that picture and send it to someone or if you write a nasty Facebook post about someone and you're publishing it on Facebook or on any type of social media - you can be charged for criminal defamation.
"You can be charged for creation of pornography, possession of pornography and distribution of pornography. If you take the picture, if you keep the picture or even if you send the picture out," she said.
