Umkomaas man handed two life sentences for rape of stepdaughters
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
A South Coast man has been handed two life
sentences for the continued rape of his stepdaughters in Umkomaas.
The man was sentenced after the Scottburgh Regional Court heard how he sexually abused the young girls, whom the court said treated and respected him as a father figure.
KZN NPA spokesperson Natasha Ramkisson-Kara says the girls reported the ordeal to their cousin in 2019.
“The incidents began when the girls were young and occurred mainly when their mother was at work. He was arrested in 2019 when they eventually reported this to their cousin.
