Umgungundlovu district staff moved following PMB fire

Plans have been made to temporarily house staff members following a fire at the Umgungundlovu education district office yesterday.
The early morning inferno gutted the third floor of the building.

Provincial education spokesperson, Muzi Mahlambi says after the extent of the damage was assessed, the head of department decide to move operations to another office in Pietermaritzburg.

He says that the IT department is also working on recovering information."Come Monday we will have been able to work on the matter, including questions around investigation," said Mahlambi.
"By mid next week we will have an indication about what caused the fire."
