Umbilo licensing office shifts gear back to operation

Umbilo's Motor Licensing Office will implement full services from Thursday, after a partial closure of the branch for decontamination.

The KwaZulu-Natal Transport Department says there were concerns over a suspected case of COVID-19 on Wednesday.
The department's spokesperson, Kwanele Ncalane says the staff member is self-isolating.
As a precautionary measure, services remained open to only car dealerships yesterday.

"We urge members of the public to use other licensing offices like Rossburgh and Pinetown, but also more than 39 post offices are open in province, with municipal offices rendering the same service.
"Therefore people are encouraged to use those facilities in the meantime," says Ncalane.
All motor licensing offices opened on 8 June.
Last Thursday, the office on Durban's Goble Road closed after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19.
