KwaZulu-Natal Transport says all staff members at the vehicle licensing office on Durban's Goble Road are being screened after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.
It's closed the branch until further notice.
Officials say at this stage there are no indications that anyone who visited the office was at risk of contracting the virus - as the staff member who tested positive was not at work on Monday.
Driver's licence testing centres in KZN reopened to members of the public this week.
