UKZN PMB students scatter as tear gas, rubber bullets fired
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Rubber bullets and teargas have been fired at students at the UKZN Pietermaritzburg campus, sending students running in all directions.
They had marched from Golf Road campus toward main campus before moving to the William O' Brien residence.
They were dispersed some moments ago.
Police say rocks were thrown at private security personnel, but students insist they were just meeting to discuss the way forward after 11 UKZN students arrested last month were not released on bail today.

Some students were speaking to Newswatch when more rounds were fired, prompting them to abandon the interview and run for cover while screaming.
