UKZN professor earns international social work award

A University of KwaZulu-Natal professor has made the university proud - by becoming the first African to be awarded an international social work award from a US university.
Professor Johannes John-Langba is the eighth person to receive the Inabel Lindsay Social Work Education Leadership Award.
The social academic says it's an honour to have been chosen and has dedicated the award to migrants seeking asylum in the United States.
John-Langba holds a PhD in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh as well as a Master of Social Work degree from Howard University.
