University of KwaZulu-Natal engineering students are making South Africa proud in Australia after completing a gruelling solar car race across the country.

The team's car 'Hulamin' finished 13th out of 29 teams in the main 'Challenger' race category.
The invention was developed by engineering students and lecturers at the institution.
The team travelled more than 3000 km from Darwin in the country's north to Adelaide in South Australia.
They completed the race in about 47 hours and 53 minutes over five days of driving time.
This year's solar car race saw the first ever teams from Africa taking part.
