Ugu District mayor, Tolomane Mnyayiza dies at 44
The Ugu District Municipality mayor, Tolomane Mnyayiza has died at the age of 44.
He passed away last night in hospital while details around the cause of his death are not yet known.
The municipality's spokesperson, France Zama, says Mnyayiza had been ill for some time.
He says currently the municipality is working closely with his family to prepare for his funeral.

"We are currently providing all support to the family. As a municipality, we are indeed saddened by his untimely death. We also wish to express our condolences to members of the family," he said.
