Two taxi operators killed in separate Umlazi shootings
Two cases of murder are being investigated after two taxi operators were gunned down in separate incidents in Umlazi.
Police spokesperson, Thulani Zwane says a 43-year-old man was shot last night while in his vehicle in D-section near Mangosuthu Highway.
Zwane says the next attack happened half an hour later.
"The second victim was attacked while he was also in his vehicle at N-section in Umlazi on the same day. He was attacked by an unknown group of people. The two victims died instantly and two cases of murder were opened for further investigation. The motive for their killing is still unknown at this stage."
Police are appealing to anyone who might have information about the suspects to come forward.
