Trauma counsellors have been sent to the home of a grief-stricken family in uMkhomazi, on the south coast.

The body of their 10-year-old daughter, who was reported missing over the weekend, was found in their neighbour's house on Monday.
The Department of Social Development in KZN's Mhlabunzima Memela says the child was sent to the shop but never returned home.
Her remains were discovered after police and the community intensified their search.
Two people have been taken in for questioning.

Memela says MEC Nonhlanhla Khoza has expressed shock and called for calm,
"We are hoping that the police, since they've taken people in for questioning, they will ensure that the perpetrator is found and arrested. The MEC encourages the community to allow the law to take its course.
“We heard that they have been demanding the police release the suspect and allow them to deal with the suspect. They already set the house of the suspect alight and ransacked it. This is what we discourage."
