Two suspects shot dead in Durban North house robbery

Police have now confirmed a second suspected robber has been shot dead - following a house robbery in Durban North.
One was killed earlier in an exchange of fire with Marshall Security officers on Lansdowne Crescent yesterday.
The second suspect died in a subsequent shootout at a nearby cemetery.
"Just after 4pm [yesterday], the group of suspects attacked a Durban North family. They robbed the family of jewellery. While the robbery was in progress, Marshall Security attended. That's when a shootout ensued and two suspects were fatally shot," said police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbhele.

Mbhele says an inquest will be opened as well as a case of house robbery.
