Two murder suspects have been killed in a shootout with police in Hillcrest, west of Durban.

KZN SAPS says during the operation last night, police spotted a vehicle on Brackenhill Road which matched the description of one the suspects were using.
Spokesperson Robert Netshiunda said when officers signalled for it to stop, the occupants instead got out and opened fire.
