Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
Two suspected rhino poachers have been shot and killed at the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park.

Officials say they were spotted by infrared cameras - which form part of the new technology being used in the fight against poaching.
One of them is said to be a well-known rhino poaching suspect, who was charged for illegal possession of a rhino horn in 2017.

Ezemvelo's Musa Mtambo says the suspects were found with various weapons and equipment.
"They were en-route to poach. Judging by what they had, we know that they were going to poach the rhinos. What we found was one riffle and a bag that we suspected they were going to put rhino horns inside once they have poached the rhinos."
"One suspect we have been following for a very long time is somebody who comes from Johannesburg that we have been monitoring his interaction and relationship with other people from the province."
One suspects managed to flee.
