Two seriously wounded in liquor store armed robbery

Two people have been shot and hurt in an armed robbery in Durban's Seacow Lake area this afternoon.

Emergency services say a group of suspects targeted a bottle store in Palmfield Road.
Netcare911's Chris Botha says the men sustained serious injuries.
"When we arrived there, we found that two men had sustained gunshot wounds. They both had serious wounds. They were stabilized there, and transported to a nearby hospital by advanced life support paramedics," he said.

Marshall Securities Kyle van Reenen says authorities are still on the scene. He says the store owner and an employee were shot when the robbery turned violent:
"The scene is an active crime scene, and has been cordoned off and is under investigation by the SAPS," he said.
