Two police officers killed in horror M7 truck crash
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
Two police officers have been killed in a horrific crash on the M7 westbound and N2 north off-ramp, south of Durban.
Advanced Life Support Paramedic, Garrith Jamieson says a container truck collided with a car after 05:30 this morning.
"The truck and the light motor vehicle had collided in the intersection before the truck had continued quite a way up the road on the M7 and coming to rest on the Durban bound carriageway on the M7 towards the Bluff."
He says a man and a woman were travelling in the vehicle.
"Paramedics assessed the scene and found that two police officers in the light motor vehicle had sustained fatal injuries and there was nothing more they could do for them. They were declared deceased on the scene."
