Two nabbed in the Western Cape for drugs worth R1 million

Two people are due to appear in the George Magistrate's Court in the Western Cape on drug related charges today.

The 51 and 57-year-olds were nabbed on the R62 by the Hawks, Oudtshoorn Crime Intelligence and local police on Wednesday.
Officers followed up on information and stopped a van towing a trailer.
They found 23 bags of dagga weighing about 825kgs.
The pair who are from Port Elizabeth were arrested and their vehicle impounded.
The Hawks say the dagga has a street value of about R1.1-million.
