Two men jailed for life following xenophobic attack
Updated | By Bernadette Wolhuter
Two men have been jailed for life for killing an Ethiopian national during a xenophobia-fuelled attack at Daniel Hadaro's tuckshop in Inanda, north of Durban last year.
Earlier this month, Durban High Court Judge Mokgere Masipa found Sixolile Hlangani and Sithembiso Dimba guilty of murder and aggravated robbery.
He was robbed and threatened and when, in a desperate bid to escape, he ran out into the street in his boxer shorts, his attackers gave chase and eventually stabbed him to death.
She agreed with State advocate Krishen Shah, who prosecuted the men, that they have shown no remorse.
She handed down sentence yesterday.
