Two life terms for northern KZN rapist, murderer
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
A northern KZN man has been slapped with two terms of life imprisonment after he pleaded guilty to charges of rape and murder in separate incidents.

Police say that in the first offence, 27-year-old Ntokozo Magwaza accosted his 21-year-old victim as she was walking on the road in Nongoma a year ago. Officers say the woman was threatened with a knife and then raped.
It's understood that the next day he lured his 72-year-old uncle, Nkunzi Magwaza, to a forest near their homestead.
NPA spokesperson, Natasha Kara says while in the forest, Magwaza asked his uncle to apologise to him for all his wrongdoings.
"When the uncle showed no remorse Magwaza stabbed him twice with a spear. The uncle died at the scene and Magwaza went back home and confessed to his family that he'd killed his uncle", she said.
"He was arrested and then linked to the rape matter whilst in custody. The NPA welcomes the successful prosecution", Kara said.
